John Erik Andreassen

John Erik Andreassen is a Senior Lecturer in Financial Management at the Department of Economics and Business Administration, Høgskolen i Oslo og Akershus (HiOA/HIOF), with affiliations in the Department of Economics, Innovation and Society. He holds a Master of Science and MM from BI Norwegian Business School, and an MBA from Henley Business School. His career includes roles as Finance Director at Posten Norge and CEO at Kreditkassen, alongside consulting for Innovation Norway.

Research focuses on innovation management, strategic financial management, and active learning methodologies. Notable work includes studies on employee-driven innovation in regional firms and cross-border educational collaborations with Southern Federal University (2007–2017) and St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University. He was a Visiting Professor at Southern Federal University (2012–2019) and serves on the organizing committee for the annual 'System Analysis in Design and Management' conference.

Publications span innovation investment efficiency, team learning impacts, and comparative analyses of regional business models. Awards include the 2016 SGEM Best Presentation Award.
