His work consistently emphasizes collaborative approaches and real-world implementation of writing instruction.

This synthesis of academic scholarship and lived experience creates unique connections between classroom pedagogy and experiential learning.
Dr. Eliason serves on review boards for The WAC Journal and Across the Disciplines, and provides writing consulting services to organizations while maintaining freelance writing work. His professional activities extend beyond campus through these external engagements and collaborations.
As University Writing Center Director, he leads Gonzaga's central hub for writing instruction and support, overseeing operations that serve students and faculty across all disciplines through the Writing Center Practicum course and interdisciplinary initiatives.
