John Ele-Ojo Ataguba is a Professor and Canada Research Chair in Health Economics at the University of Manitoba’s Max Rady College of Medicine. He holds leadership roles as Executive Director of the African Health Economics and Policy Association (AfHEA) and serves on the Board of Directors of the International Health Economics Association (iHEA). His work focuses on health economics, inequality, and universal health coverage in Africa. Dr. Ataguba has held previous positions, including South African Research Chair in Health and Wealth at the University of Cape Town and Mellon Mandela Fellow at Harvard University.
