Rev. Dr. John D O'Connor is the Regent of Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford, and a Dominican friar. He holds a doctorate in moral philosophy from the University of Edinburgh, an MA in Philosophy and Theology from Oxford, and a DPhil in applied physics from Oxford. His research focuses on the interplay between contemporary philosophy and moral theology, with additional interests in aesthetics, metaphysics, and science-religion dialogue. He currently serves as an Honorary Lecturer in Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Glasgow.

Research Interests: Moral theology, virtue ethics, natural law, philosophical theology, theological aesthetics, and the ethics of St. Thomas Aquinas. He explores interdisciplinary themes such as science-religion interactions and value theory in theology.
Editorships: Assistant Editor of New Blackfriros.
Advising & Grants: Co-supervises doctoral theses at the University of Glasgow. His work bridges ethical theory, metaphysical inquiry, and religious thought.
