John C. Affeldt, MD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Loma Linda University's School of Medicine. His work focuses on corneal diseases, neurotrophic keratopathy, and infectious ophthalmic conditions. He leads multi-center clinical trials such as the Zoster Eye Disease Study (ZEDS) evaluating antiviral therapies and pivotal trials for recombinant nerve growth factor (cenegermin).
