John A. Burgess is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Law and International Governance, part of The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He holds the title of Professor of Practice and has served as Executive Director of the School's LLM program from 2014 to 2019. Previously, he practiced law at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr for 37 years, leading corporate and international practices, and served on the firm's Management Committee.
