John Barr

Dr. John Barr is a Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and holds a secondary appointment as Professor of Neurological Surgery. He is a member of the Neuroradiology Division and serves as Chief Radiology Officer at Parkland Hospital, focusing on neuro-interventional radiology.

• Education: Bachelor's in Engineering Science from University of Virginia; MD and radiology residency at University of Virginia Hospital; Fellowship in vascular/interventional radiology and diagnostic/interventional neuroradiology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center

His clinical expertise spans neuro-interventional radiology, with prior leadership roles at institutions including Pennsylvania State University, Baptist Memorial Hospitals, Scripps Health, and LIR Neurointerventional Medical Group. He co-founded the California Center for Neurointerventional Surgery.
