John Angelidis, Ph.D., serves as Professor and Chair of Management in The Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John's University. He is a dedicated educator who has significantly expanded service-learning opportunities within the business curriculum, making it a requirement in two key courses: Managerial Strategy and Policy (4329) and Administrative and Organizational Behavior (2301).
Dr. Angelidis earned his Ph.D. from Georgia State University in 1987. A native of Athens, Greece, he was drawn to St. John's University due to its focus on Vincentian values, which align with his belief in the importance of service and ethical leadership in business education.
Dr. Angelidis's research centers on business ethics, with particular emphasis on promoting ethical practices and establishing strong ethical cultures within business organizations. He believes business education must prepare students not only for professional success but for ethical leadership addressing corporate accountability, sustainability, and assistance to vulnerable populations. His work highlights the 'win-win' nature of service-learning where students apply classroom knowledge toward productive societal action while society benefits from their learning.
His scholarly contributions include research on ethical frameworks in business organizations, with his paper 'Promoting Ethical Practices and Establishing a Strong Ethical Culture in Business Organizations' receiving recognition from the Southeastern Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences. This work demonstrates how ethical culture can be systematically developed within business settings.

As an advisor to the University's Office of Academic Service-Learning, Dr. Angelidis plays a key role in integrating service components across the curriculum.
