John Addison

Professor John Addison is a distinguished academic in Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, holding a professorship at Durham University's Business School. He previously served as a lecturer at the University of Aberdeen and a professor at the University of South Carolina. Addison earned his BSc, MSc, and PhD from the London School of Economics (LSE). His research focuses on minimum wage policies, collective bargaining erosion in Germany, high-dimensional wage regression models, and gender-related pay and promotion disparities. He has authored numerous influential books, including The Economics of Codetermination: Lessons from the German Experience and The Economic Analysis of Unions.
