John A. Cunningham

John A. Cunningham is a Senior Scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto. He also holds professorial appointments at King's College London and the Australian National University.

Dr. Cunningham’s research bridges clinical and community prevention in addictions, focusing on individuals with drinking problems who avoid formal treatment. He adapts evidence-based interventions for non-clinical settings and evaluates their community effectiveness, emphasizing recovery motivations and self-initiated change.
