Johannes Hörner

Johannes Hörner is a Scientific Assistant/Doctoral Researcher at the Chair of Reaction Engineering within the Institute of Chemical Engineering and Energy Process Engineering at TU Bergakademie Freiberg since 2021. His research focuses on developing exhaust gas concepts for petrol engines to avoid primary and secondary emissions in cooperation with Mercedes-Benz AG. He holds a Master of Engineering in International Project Engineering from HTWG-Konstanz (2020) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental and Process Engineering from HTWG-Konstanz (2019).

His work addresses critical challenges in catalyzed exhaust gas purification, particularly through zoned three-way catalytic converters during cold start and driving cycles. He has collaborated with industry leaders including Daimler AG, Robert Bosch GmbH, and Continental AG.
