Johannes Hübner

Prof. Dr. Johannes Hübner is a full professor (W3-Professur) for Theoretical Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy within the Faculty of Humanities I of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, serving since April 2010. He was appointed Dean of Studies for the Faculty of Humanities I in October 2020. His academic trajectory includes a PhD from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (1999) on Aristotelian ontology, followed by habilitation (2004) on substance metaphysics.

His research spans:
