Johann Morri is a Lecturer and Associate Director of International Programs at the UC Davis School of Law. He teaches legal methods, academic writing, and co-teaches the Legal Writing seminar with Associate Dean Beth Greenwood. His roles include advising international students and overseeing LL.M. programs. Prior to UC Davis, he served as a Judge in French courts (Trial and Appellate Courts in Public Law in Versailles and Montpellier, 1999–2014) and held positions in the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, including Deputy Director of the Public Law Section and Chief of the International Law Section.
He holds an LL.M. from UC Davis School of Law (2011), Master’s degrees in Human Rights Law and Public Law Litigation from the Universities of Paris Nanterre and Paris I-Panthéon Sorbonne (1995), and a B.A. in Government Studies/Political Science from Sciences Po Paris (1992).
His research focuses on Legal Education methodologies, Comparative Law, Administrative Law, and fostering international legal collaboration. His professional background bridges academia, judiciary, and public service, emphasizing cross-border legal frameworks and pedagogical innovation.
