Johan von Schreeb is a Professor of Global Disaster Medicine at the Department of Global Public Health, Karolinska Institutet. He leads the WHO Collaborating Centre for Disaster Medicine, serves as Director of KI's Center for Health Crises, and spearheads the Global Disaster Medicine research group. With a career spanning decades in humanitarian missions, he has coordinated international medical responses in Turkey (2023), Ukraine (2022), Beirut (2020), and Ebola-stricken Sierra Leone (2014).
