Joerg Baten is Professor of Economic History at the Department of Economics, University of Tuebingen, since 2001. He serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Economics and Human Biology and held leadership roles in major academic associations, including President of the European Historical Economics Society (2015-17) and Secretary General of the International Economic History Association (2006-2012).
