Joel Samuelsson is a full Professor of Civil Law specializing in commercial law at Uppsala University's Faculty of Law since 2016, currently serving as Vice Dean responsible for legal education since 2022. Previously, he held positions as Associate Professor (2010-2016) and Post-doctoral Research Fellow (2009-2010) at the same institution.
His academic credentials include an LLD (2008) and LLM (1998), both earned at Uppsala University.
Professor Samuelsson's research centers on commercial law frameworks, with primary focus on contractual relationships, sales transactions, and agency principles. His work critically examines legal theory through interdisciplinary lenses, investigating truth dynamics in contemporary legal systems alongside cultural and political contexts within literary studies.
