Joel Martinez is the Department Chair and Associate Professor of Philosophy at Lewis & Clark College. He is located in John R. Howard Hall, MSC 45, and teaches courses such as PHIL 217 (Ethics of Interpersonal Relationships) and PHIL 301 (Ancient Western Philosophy). His research focuses on moral decision-making, virtue ethics, moral psychology, and the intersection of AI with ethics, alongside developing Latin American Philosophy curricula.
