Joel M Busch is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting & Finance at San José State University's Lucas College and Graduate School of Business. He holds a JD from Monterey College of Law, an MS in Taxation, and a BS in Accounting from SJSU. Prior to academia, he spent over a decade at Granite Construction Incorporated managing tax audits, legislative advocacy, and in-house tax education. He later worked as a tax consultant, advising on income, sales, employment, and property taxes.
