معرفی
Joel Cox is an Associate Professor of Theoretical Quantum Nano Optics at the DNRF Center of Excellence for polariton-driven light-matter interactions (POLIMA) at the University of Southern Denmark. His research focuses on quantum and nonlinear light-matter interactions in nanostructured materials, particularly exploring 2D polaritons and their role in mediating quantum phenomena. With a PhD in Physics from the University of Western Ontario (2013), he conducted postdoctoral research at ICFO (Barcelona) before joining SDU in 2019. Key honors include a DFF-Starting grant (2020) and a Cellex ICFO-MPQ Research Fellowship (2017).
His research interests span quantum nano-optics, graphene plasmonics, and polariton physics, with a focus on nonlinear effects and nanostructured materials. Recent work emphasizes 2D materials' potential for quantum computing and optoelectronic applications. His articles highlight advancements in plasmonics, nonlinear optics, and theoretical modeling of light-matter interactions.
