Dr. Joe L. Couto is a Professor at Royal Roads University’s School of Humanitarian Studies and School of Communication and Culture, with part-time roles at the University of Guelph-Humber and Humber Polytechnic. His research focuses on identity construction in law enforcement, particularly for 2SLGBTQI+ officers, and intersectionality in gender, sexual orientation, and organizational culture.
