Joe Kutz

Dr. Joe Kutz is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in otolaryngology (ENT), neurotology, and skull base surgery. His clinical practice focuses on diseases of the skull base, acoustic neuroma, cochlear implants, otosclerosis, Meniere’s disease, and chronic otitis media. He completed his medical training at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by residency in Otolaryngology and subspecialty training in otology at the House Ear Clinic. His research spans cochlear implants, acoustic neuroma outcomes, and implantable hearing devices, with a strong emphasis on clinical innovation and surgical techniques.

Dr. Kutz’s research interests include advancements in hearing restoration, tumor management in skull base disorders, and the application of endoscopic surgical approaches. His publications reflect a dedication to improving outcomes for patients with complex ear and skull base pathologies. He actively contributes to medical education, mentoring students and residents in otolaryngology.
