Joe Fardin is an Honorary Research Fellow at the UWA Law School, specializing in mining law, Indigenous land rights, and regulatory frameworks. He holds a PhD and advanced degrees in Law and Anthropology. His research focuses on the intersection of mining laws, Indigenous rights, and regulatory policies, with a particular emphasis on tripartite dynamics between industry, government, and Indigenous communities. He advises clients globally across NGOs, IGOs, and law firms. As Associate Director of UWA's Centre for Mining, Energy and Natural Resources Law, he contributes to academic and policy initiatives.
