Joe Fagan is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics at King's College London's Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy, where he serves as Programme Director for the MA TESOL and Academic Lead for GTAs. With teaching experience since 1997 across Spain, Egypt, and the UK, he specializes in English for Specific Purposes and teacher training.
His research examines learner academic English, modality instruction, teacher cognition, and materials evaluation. Fagan contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate modules including Teaching Language as Communicative Skills, Language Teaching Methodology, and Teacher Education.
As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, he reviews for the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme and examines TESOL programs nationally.
