Jody Eckert serves as Associate Professor of Physical Therapy and Chair of the Doctoral Physical Therapy program at the University of Mary's Saint Gianna School of Health Sciences. She has been with the institution since 2007, transitioning to Program Director in 2021. Her expertise includes orthopedic physical therapy, spinal interventions, and clinical education leadership.

Her research focuses on orthopedics and education innovation within physical therapy curricula. Eckert holds advanced credentials including Board Certification in Orthopaedics, APTA Level 1 Clinical Instructor, and certification as a Clinical Credentialed Instructor Trainer. She currently chairs the ACAPT Committee for Education Research.
Professional service includes presentations at APTA Educational Leadership Conferences and publications in healthcare education journals. She emphasizes mission-driven education that integrates moral courage and human dignity principles.
