Jodie Moll is an Honorary Reader at the University of Manchester and holds a full-time academic position at Queensland University of Technology. Her research focuses on real-world challenges in managerial accounting, public sector finance, and the digital economy. She investigates how organizations adapt accounting systems to evolving business landscapes, emphasizing innovation, network coordination, and digital transformation.
Her expertise spans Management Control Systems (MCS), Public Sector Accounting, and the impact of emerging technologies on accounting practices. She chairs the AFAANZ QualRan Research Group and serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Accounting and Organizational Change, contributing to editorial roles for other leading journals.
Key research outputs include studies on accounting reforms in public sectors, the role of AI and big data in reshaping accounting roles, and the legitimacy of whistleblowers in organizational contexts. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly addressing ethical governance and innovation-driven systems.
Jodie has supervised PhD candidates exploring MCS applications in innovation ecosystems and public sector financial management.
