Jodie Kleinschafer is a Lecturer in Marketing and Research Fellow at Charles Sturt University (CSU), affiliated with the Faculty of Business, Justice and Behavioural Studies. She holds roles as Deputy Leader of the Health Services Research Group and member of the Regional Work and Organisational Resilience Group. Her research focuses on consumer behavior in regional contexts, with emphasis on household energy efficiency, NDIS implementation, and health services. She actively contributes to the Western Health Research Network and Gubali Research Institute.
Dr. Kleinschafer earned a PhD (2011) and dual bachelor’s degrees in Business (Marketing and Honours) from CSU (2003/2004). Her teaching includes Consumer Behaviour, Market Research, and Market Analysis courses. She has reviewed for ANZAM Conference, ICCB, and journals like the International Journal of Consumer Studies.
Her research interests span social marketing, NDIS transition challenges in regional NSW, and climate change impacts on healthcare. Notable grants include a 2023 RHRI grant examining aged care workforce resilience under extreme heat and a 2018 TCR grant studying NDIS implementation.
Key awards include a 2021 grant for community marketing toolkits. Her work addresses SDGs related to health, sustainable cities, and gender equality. Recent studies explore pandemic health behaviors, rural micro-business resilience, and barriers for allied health professionals in aged care.
