معرفی
Jochen Schwenk is a Professor in Translational Proteomics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in high-throughput analysis of blood proteins for disease diagnostics. His research develops methods to identify protein biomarkers indicating health states and disease conditions, with applications ranging from cancer to metabolic disorders. Schwenk's multidisciplinary approach integrates proteomics, biostatistics, and clinical research to advance precision medicine.
His research focuses on translational proteomics, encompassing experimental design, high-throughput blood analysis, computational data processing, and clinical validation. Schwenk investigates how protein signatures in blood can reveal disease states and health conditions, aiming to enable comprehensive health assessments from minimal samples. His work bridges laboratory techniques with bioinformatics to identify clinically relevant biomarkers.
Previously contributing to the Human Protein Atlas project, Schwenk developed antibody-based methods for biomarker validation. His long-term research vision focuses on translating proteomic discoveries into clinical tools for personalized diagnosis and treatment strategies across multiple disease areas.
