Dr. Jochen Guck is a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge's Cavendish Laboratory, leading the Biological and Soft Systems group. Previously, he served as a Nachwuchsgruppenleiter (Wissenschaftlicher Assistent) at the University of Leipzig's Soft Matter Physics Division until 2006. His work focuses on biophysics, cell mechanics, and optical micromanipulation. He holds a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin (2001) and a Habilitation from the University of Leipzig (2006).
