Dr. Jocelyn Bowden is a Senior Research Fellow at the Osteoarthritis Clinical Research Group, Kolling Institute, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. She holds a PhD in Human Neurophysiology from the University of New South Wales, complemented by a BSc (Honours) and BHMSc. Her research focuses on improving evidence-based osteoarthritis care through clinical trials, health services innovation, and implementation science.
Her primary research interests include:
- Evaluating models of osteoarthritis care delivery
- Assessing the role of supplements and environmental factors in musculoskeletal health
- Developing training programs for healthcare professionals
- Examining social determinants of health in chronic disease management
- Implementing digital health solutions for osteoarthritis
Dr. Bowden's publications demonstrate a strong focus on osteoarthritis management innovations, with recurring themes including implementation science in primary care, cost-effectiveness of interventions, health services redesign, and digital health applications for chronic disease. Her research consistently emphasizes practical translation of evidence into clinical practice.
