Joaquin Alaejos Gutierrez

Joaquin Alaejos Gutierrez is a Professor at the University of Huelva, affiliated with the Higher Technical School of Engineering and the Department of Agroforestry Sciences. His work focuses on sustainable forest management and natural environment analysis.

He earned his PhD in 2003 from the University of Huelva, completing a thesis on cellulose pulp production from holm oak pruning wood (Quercus ilex L.).

His research interests span agroforestry systems, sustainable forestry practices, and wood utilization for industrial applications. He has contributed to forest resource management through participation in research groups RNM301 (Forest Resource Management) and RNM315 (Analysis and Planning of the Natural Environment).
