Dr. Joanne Boldison is a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter Medical School, affiliated with the Exeter Biomedical Research Centre. She completed her BSc in Applied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of the West of England (2006) and earned her PhD in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bristol (2008), focusing on autoimmunity and ocular inflammation. Her research explores the immune pathology of type 1 diabetes, particularly the role of B cells in beta cell destruction and their interactions with other immune subsets.
