معرفی
Dr Chloe Rackham is a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter's Clinical and Biomedical Sciences department, specializing in diabetes and islet transplantation research. She has 18 years of experience in the field and focuses on leveraging Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs) to enhance beta cell replacement therapies for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).
- PhD in Physiology, King’s College London (2008-2012)
- BSc (Hons) Human Sciences, First Class, King’s College London (2003-2006)
Her research spans four key areas: improving islet transplantation with MSCs, defining the MSC secretome for therapeutic applications, optimizing islet mitochondrial function via MSC-mediated transfer, and exploring native pancreatic MSCs' role in T1D. She aims to develop strategies to enhance islet graft survival and immune compatibility.
- Recipient of the Nick Hales Young Investigator Award (Diabetes UK)
- Awarded the Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation Fellowship (2018)
Dr Rackham mentors postgraduate students and welcomes inquiries for MSc by Research or PhD supervision in diabetes, islet biology, or mesenchymal stem cells. She is actively involved in peer review, editorial work, and professional committees.
