JoAnn Losavio is an Assistant Professor of History at Washington State University, Vancouver. She joined the Department of History in Fall 2020 and teaches in the Roots of Contemporary Issues (RCI) program. Her research focuses on transnational twentieth-century history, with particular emphasis on Southeast Asian youth, decolonization processes, and cultural exchanges. She holds a PhD in History from Northern Illinois University (2020), an MA in Anthropology from Emory University (2014), and a BA in History and Anthropology (Summa Cum Laude) from Northern Illinois University (2012), with a minor in Southeast Asian Studies.
