Joan-Emilie Lefever is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Strathclyde's School of Humanities. She coordinates French language courses including the French Certificate of Continuous Education (Cced) and has led intercalary programs during the pandemic. Her roles include serving on the Gender Equality Diversity and Inclusion (GEDI) committee and organizing events like the Speak Up debate competitions with Glasgow University.
Education: MA in British & American History/Literature (François Rabelais University, Tours, 2005), PgCert in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education (Strathclyde, 2023). She holds FHEA (Fellow of the Higher Education Academy).
Research focuses on Education for Sustainable Development, integrating UN SDGs into curriculum design. Her recent work examines student-employer perspectives on sustainability competencies in UK higher education.
