E. Joan Blum is an Associate Professor of the Practice at Boston College Law School, where she has taught since 1985. She specializes in the Law Practice Program and international legal education, conducting training for war crimes judges and prosecutors in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the U.S. Department of Justice. Blum has served as a Fulbright Specialist at the University of Sarajevo and will return to Tashkent State University of Law as a Fulbright Scholar in 2023.
Her education includes an A.B. from Harvard University (summa cum laude, 1975) and a J.D. from Columbia Law School (1978), where she was on the law review. Previously, she clerked for Justice Robert Braucher on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and practiced tax-exempt financing at Palmer & Dodge.
