Jo Wu

Dr. Jo Wu is an Associate Professor of Nursing at the University of the Sunshine Coast's School of Health, where she serves as Higher Degree by Research Coordinator. Her research focuses on developing telehealth and peer-support programs for patients with comorbidities like cardiac disease and diabetes. She has received international recognition including a Bronze Medal from the European Society for Person Centered Healthcare.

Her investigations center on refining cardiac-diabetes self-management through innovative delivery modes (telephone, text-messaging) and cultural adaptations. She leads multiple research groups including the Optimising Health Service Efficiency Cluster and supervises higher-degree research students.
