Dr Jo Orsatti is a Lecturer in the Work and Organisational Studies department at the Sydney Business School, University of Sydney. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on the intersection of work, technology, and social/environmental justice. She holds a PhD investigating employment relationships and organizational responses to climate change, diversity, and innovation through social media analysis.
Research Interests:
Jo’s work addresses how employees and organizations can advance social/environmental justice through:
- Climate change adaptation in workplaces
- Gender equity in just transitions
- Organizational citizenship via digital platforms
- Post-humanist approaches to sustainability
Grants & Awards:
Recipient of the Claudio Ciborra Award (2015) for innovation in information systems research. Current grant: "The everyday work of climate crisis in disaster events, response and recovery" (2024) explores resilience at work-home intersections.
Teaching:
Includes courses on foundational employment law (WORK1003), climate change impacts on work (WORK3210), and emerging industrial relations challenges (WORK6040).
