Jo Jakobsen is a Professor at the Department of Sociology and Political Science, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research focuses on international security, geopolitics, migration, and the political risks faced by multinational companies. He holds a PhD from NTNU (2007) and has authored influential works such as The Geopolitics of U.S. Overseas Troops and Withdrawal (2022).
