Jinyu Li is a Distinguished Senior Lecturer in the Department of International Literary and Cultural Studies at Tufts University's School of Arts and Sciences. Specializing in Chinese language pedagogy, syntax, and cultural studies, he holds degrees from Rice University (MA in Chinese History), Australian National University (BA in History and Political Science), and Nanjing University (BA). His research focuses on innovative teaching methodologies for Mandarin, emphasizing practical application and cultural context.
Professional activities include organizing and speaking at conferences such as the NECLTA Annual International Conference and the New England Chinese Language Teachers Association meetings. He has authored multiple pedagogical textbooks, including the Chinese for Living in China series, designed to enhance practical language skills.
