Jintao Sheng

Jintao Sheng, Ph.D., is a Research Fellow at Stanford University working in the Wagner Lab as part of the Stanford Aging and Memory Study. She earned her doctorate from Beijing Normal University in 2022.

Her research focuses on neural mechanisms of human episodic memory decline during normal aging, with emphasis on hippocampal functions including pattern separation. She employs multimodal neuroimaging techniques—ultra-high resolution structural MRI for hippocampal subfield segmentation, functional MRI for brain activation mapping, and PET for tau/amyloid-beta pathology assessment—to investigate age-related memory changes.

Current work integrates univariate and multivariate analysis of neuroimaging data within the Stanford Aging and Memory Study framework to elucidate how pathological and structural brain changes drive cognitive decline in aging populations.
