Dr. Jinning Zhang is a Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Leicester and serves as Deputy Programme Director for the MSc Aerospace programme. She holds an MSc (2019) and PhD (2022) in aerospace propulsion from Cranfield University. Her research focuses on energy management strategies for aerospace propulsion systems, AI applications in transport and energy systems, and integrated power systems within the transportation-energy nexus.
Her work addresses challenges in resilient power systems, autonomous vehicle navigation, and cybersecurity in critical infrastructure. She has contributed to advancements in path planning algorithms for AGVs and connected automated vehicles, as well as strategies for sustainable aviation through electrification and decarbonization.
Dr. Zhang's publications reflect interdisciplinary expertise, spanning cyber-physical systems security, renewable energy integration, and smart mobility solutions. She actively engages in advancing intelligent health management systems for propulsion and optimizing energy storage for EV infrastructure.
