Jingjing Zhang is a Professor and Head of the Economics Department at RMIT University's School of Economics, Finance and Marketing. Her research focuses on experimental economics, applying experimental methods to design better institutions for auctions, markets, voting, rent-seeking contests, and collective decision-making. She has held teaching positions at institutions including University of Technology Sydney, University of Zurich, and Purdue University.

Her experimental work spans game theory, market design, and public policy, with recent articles analyzing contest design, auction mechanisms, and cognitive effort in decision-making. She frequently collaborates with Nobel laureate Vernon Smith and co-authors like Tim Cason and Roman Sheremeta.
Teaching roles: Game Theory (UTS), Experimental Economics (UTS), Field Study in Experimental Economics (Ph.D. course), and Economics for Management (MBA course). Her pedagogical approach integrates experimental methods into the classroom to foster critical thinking.
