Jingjing Cai is an Assistant Professor of Chinese at Centre College, specializing in Chinese literature and language pedagogy. Her research focuses on gender issues, technological themes, and science fiction narratives within Chinese cinema and literature.

Her scholarly work explores the intersection of gender theory and speculative fiction in Chinese contexts, while developing innovative film-based pedagogical approaches for advanced language instruction. Recent publications address multiverse narratives in transnational cinema, reproductive technology ethics in sci-fi literature, and feminist discourse in Chinese cultural studies.
Dr. Cai's research output spans both academic and popular publications, with articles in Asian Women, Journal of Technology and Chinese Language Teaching, and Chinese Literature Today. She currently works on a monograph examining gender-technology intersections in Chinese science fiction.
