Jing Zhang is an Associate Professor of Management at Clark University and Acting Director of the MBA program. She holds a PhD in Information Science from the University at Albany, SUNY (2003). Her research focuses on the intersection of information technology and organizations, particularly in inter-organizational collaboration, sustainable consumption, and smart grid technologies. She has served as a co-chair for the Annual International Conference on Digital Government Research (dg.o) and co-edited special issues in Government Information Quarterly and Information Technology and Management.
Key research interests include trust development in information-sharing networks, governance structures in public-sector collaborations, and the role of technology in enabling ethical consumption. Her work has been supported by the US National Science Foundation (NSF), the Mosakowski Institute of Public Enterprise, and the Chongqing Bureau of Education. She previously collaborated with the Center for Technology in Government (CTG) on NSF-funded projects like INTEROP and served as Co-PI on initiatives addressing consumer choice systems.
Her publications span journals such as the European Journal of Information Systems and Public Performance and Management Review, with recent focus on smart disclosure frameworks and sustainable product pricing strategies. Beyond academia, she contributes to digital government policy through her involvement in the North American Digital Government Working Group.
