Jing Zeng is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Bonn's Department of Economics, a Research Affiliate at CEPR, and member of the Finance Theory Group. Previously, he held positions at the University of Vienna and Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. He holds a PhD in Finance from the London School of Economics (2014), an MSc from LSE (2009), and a BA from Durham University (2008).
Research Focus: His work examines banking regulation, corporate finance mechanisms, and information economics. Primary interests include stress testing design, securitization incentives, off-balance sheet funding efficiency, and climate risk quantification through market-based approaches.
Publications: Articles in top finance journals analyze regulatory impacts on lending behavior, optimal foreclosure policies under securitization, and signaling in bank funding structures. Recurring themes include asymmetric information, commitment problems, and systemic risk mitigation.
