Dr. Jing Xu is a Researcher at the South Australian Immunogenomics Cancer Institute within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Adelaide, eligible to co-supervise Masters and PhD students.
Her research focuses on computational biology and bioinformatics, with pioneering work in antimicrobial peptide prediction (iAMPCN deep-learning framework) and enzyme annotation (eCAMI classification tool). She integrates machine learning with biomedical data analysis across disease biomarker discovery, nanotoxicity prediction, and multi-omics integration, publishing over 15 articles in high-impact journals including Briefings in Bioinformatics and NPJ Digital Medicine.
Dr. Xu actively contributes to graduate education through PhD co-supervision and develops novel computational approaches for biomedical challenges, particularly in AMP functional activity identification and microbial adaptation mechanism analysis.
