Jing Wei Teoh is an Assistant Professor at the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences, Heriot-Watt University Malaysia (HWUM). He holds a BSc (Honours) in Actuarial Science and a PhD in Statistics (2024) from HWUM. His research focuses on Statistical Process Control, Statistical Quality Control, Design Optimisation, and Machine Learning.
He has authored 12 peer-reviewed papers, including 3 in Q1 Web of Science journals, and developed a control charting program for real-time industrial data monitoring. Notable awards include Best Paper Awards at IEEE conferences in 2023 and 2024. He collaborates internationally and contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through quality control research.
