Jing Wang is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing and Digital Technologies at Sheffield Hallam University since 2017. She holds a PhD in Computing from the University of Huddersfield and a BEng in Machine and Electronic Technology from Xidian University, China.

She has published extensively in automation, computing, and digital humanities fields, with recent work focusing on illumination-invariant fall detection algorithms and cyber-attack intrusion systems in robotic healthcare environments.
Scientific awards include the ECRI Fellowship (2022-2023) supporting her fall detection research. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision.
