Jing Peng

Dr. Jing Peng is a Research Fellow at QUT’s Centre for Robotics, specializing in computer vision, machine learning, and robotic surgery. She holds a BEng in Measurement, Control Technology and Instruments and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University. During her PhD, she conducted research at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) as a Professional Practicum student. Post-PhD, she worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow in Surgical Robotics and Soft Robotics at the University of Hong Kong before joining QUT as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Design Robotics for Advanced Manufacturing.

Her research focuses on advancing surgical robotics, soft robotics, and automation in manufacturing. She has contributed to patents in materials processing, surgical robotics, and environmental technologies.
