- Education:
- MD: Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine
- PhD in Biochemistry: University of South Carolina
Research Interests: Dr. Du’s work centers on the tumor microenvironment and its role in cancer progression. She investigates biomarkers using advanced spatial multi-omics and collaborates on translational studies to bridge lab discoveries with clinical applications. Her research aims to reduce treatment toxicities and improve patient outcomes in breast cancer.
Publications: Her work spans tumor immunology, platelet biology, and diabetes-related mechanisms. Key topics include TLT-1’s role in suppressing CD8+ T cells, unfolded protein response in platelets, and mitophagy’s protective effects in diabetic platelets.
- Awards: Browning Award for professionalism and dedication during residency.
Clinical Trials: Leads investigator-initiated trials evaluating new breast cancer therapies, including roles in studies of elacestrant, camizestrant, and datopotamab deruxtecan.
